March 11, 2007 I had the opportunity to visit the city of Memphis, Tennessee for my daughters wedding. She was married at the botanical gardens with the beautiful pond as a backdrop. The wedding party was to walk across the little bridge and make their way around the pond to the area designated for the wedding. In the pond was a family of geese. The gardens were awesome. There was a small slope where the guests were to stand to watch the ceremony. As the wedding party began the walk we noticed the geese starting to pay attention to what was going on around them. One by one the couples walked. In the background we heard bagpipes begin to play and the funny thing was that both sides of the family were Scottish but no one knew the gentleman playing the pipes. It was just a random thing that worked out perfectly for them. As the flower girl began her walk across the bridge she was to throw down feathers. As soon as the geese saw the feathers they started coming out of the water to investigate what was going on. The poor flower girl was so scared she ran behind the brides dress and walked the rest of the way hanging on to her dress afraid of the geese.

During the wedding the male goose made his presence known by coming up the walk and attacking the train of my daughter’s wedding dress. He had his wings stuck out and neck stretched, squawking and making darn sure that the poor bride and groom kept their eyes on him and not each other.

Trusted Tours & Attractions had some wonderful choices for us to make during our weekend there. Never have gone to Memphis before we thought it would be nice to have the wedding guests be able to see the beautiful city of Memphis. I know that the guests will have memories for years to come because of the wonderful city of Memphis and the people from Trusted Tours & Attractions. :)
