Description -
This C. japonica hybrid pushes the frost line to grow further north than the rest of its clan. Rich rose-red blossoms with yellow centers stand in sharp contrast against glossy dark forest green leaves. Ideal January to March color. Makes a good background for shrub and perennial borders, or as a tidy foundation plant. Moderate growth to 6 to 8 feet tall and 4 to 6 feet wide or larger.
