Zones - 4-11
Description -
Intense color distinguishes this new scarlet trumpet vine. Spectacular effects created with clusters of up to 12 red flowers, each 4 inches long. Irresistible to hummingbirds. Blooms in late spring and continues off and on through fall. Vigorous growth is eager to climb and cover by self clinging, but needs some help when young. Useful plant for large bare walls, as an accent or focal point, or exploit the lush shade-giving foliage on arbors. A southern American native that is rugged and reliable in cold climates yet appears tropical. Not particular as to soil conditions or mild drought. Deciduous vine. Full sun.
