Description -
Exciting variety of ever-blooming American native wisteria. Twining plants grow at about a third the rate of Asian wisteria for better behavior in small spaces. Flowers heavily in April and May, then continues blooming on new growth sporadically throughout the summer. Blooms at an early age in slightly fragrant intense blue racemes 4 to 6 inches long. Great in containers for porch or patio. Espalier onto trellis, arbor and over gateways. Perfect to run across the top of wall or fence without engulfing it. May be pruned back heavily in winter as it flowers on new growth. Vigorous, super adapted and disease resistant. Deciduous vine. Sun or part shade. Fast growth to 8 to 10 feet wide.
